What: Given the critical importance of AI we are fortunate to have in the Houston Illini Club Soumava (Sam) Dey, a proud Illini. Sam has carved a niche for himself in the world of AI. His educational journey includes a Master of Science degree in Data Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign which with his professional experience has been a cornerstone of his success, providing him with a robust foundation in data science and AI technologies. With over 10 years of experience in data analytics for life insurance and as an Associate Director at a renowned WPP agency, Sam has excelled in using AI analytics to turn data into actionable insights, driving innovation and progress.

Sam's dedication to sharing his expertise is evident through his digital content creation, where he demystifies AI concepts and showcases their practical applications. His primary goal is to harness AI's power to shape the future of various industries while mitigating its potential risks.

Jason Cables, Club President and Mark Ulrich, Communications, will begin the event, which is available and free for all Houston Illini and their guests. Mark will then introduce Houston Illini Club member and special guest, Sam Dey. Highlights of Sam's planned videoconference hosted talk includes:
