  • Something special about me: Chicago Inner City Teacher to Flight Attendant to Flight Instructor to First female 747 pilot! Founded the non-profit Roatan Support Effort (ROSE), author of two books, sailed throughout British West Indies and French Polynesia, climbed the Matterhorn, and recognized by Princess Anne at Women of the Year ceremony in Leeds, England. Featured within BBC's "Reaching for the Skies" (now on YouTube: https://youtu.be/P8LXEOTjhjk?si=-uJtLaShKW7t4tlS) and ";We'll Meet Again" with Ann Curry. I just celebrated the 50th anniversary of my first solo flight which makes me eligible for the Wright brothers master pilot award certificate, which will soon be presented to me in Burlington Vermont at the 99 convention, a female pilot organization. My nonprofit Rose, Roatan support effort, is continuing to help many people on the island of Roatan with their youth soccer league, hospital and clinic supplies, the community kitchen, etc (www.roatansupporteffort.org). I continue to give presentations that include the sale of my two books. Both books are available on Amazon however I much prefer purchase from my website so that the proceeds go to the nonprofit: www.lynnrippelmeyer.com. Continued support from our donors allows us to do this work.
