  • Favorite UI Memory: Izhak Perlman up close and talking to the audience at the Krannert. I paid like $10 to sit in the front row. As well as The Bee Gees in concert.
  • Favorite Place on Campus: The Quad. At every season. A great place to sit and enjoy students from all possible majors and backgrounds.
  • Favorite Illini athlete: Mike Bellamy. WR Fighting Illini, 1989. I shared a Communication Expression class with Mike and other football players. He was one of the nicest American student I met on campus. He introduced me to football.
  • Favorite class at Illinois: AAE 492B. Advanced Flight Theory. The most advanced class I took at UIUC. All probabilistic maths. Way above my head. To this day still amazed I got an A.
  • Favorite UIUC Bar/Restaurant: Cochrane’s on Daniel. Great music. Although I did not spend much time in bars as a MS student.
  • Moved to Houston: 1990
  • What brought you to Houston: Working for Schlumberger as an intern initially.
  • Favorite things About Houston: A very diverse city that feels like a small village with the locals, and a large cosmopolitan town at the same time. I really enjoy the arts and the international scenes, as well as easy connections to most countries around the world. Finally, being a member at one of the best tennis clubs in the country.
  • Favorite places in Houston: Too many to list. I love Memorial Park, especially the mountain bike trails and the way it is evolving and growing in recent years.
  • Occupation: Executive management. Very much a curious engineer.
  • Something special about me: Originally from France. Moved to the US to go to UIUC. I have since lived in many countries but never went back to live in France. I am an avid tennis player - still playing Championship tennis.
