The exhibition is in the heart of the exclusive Bunker Hill Village neighborhood (11977 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. 77024).
This very special event for all University of Illinois’ alumni is planned on Monday, March 21st, 2016 at 6:30pm. As part of this unprecedented event, Carmen will take us through a tour of each of her creations. Carmen’s work is on exhibition at the Town Hall from January 1, 2016 until the end of March, 2016. Since the post-selection wait list to exhibit at the City Hall is over 18-months we will not receive another such an opportunity for quite some time. As Carmen is the wife of UIUC Frenchman and MS Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (AAE) ’90 alumnus and 2016 College of Engineering AAE Distinguished Alumnus Alexandre (Alex) Kosmala, the Town Hall has agreed to open its door for a special University of Illinois Alumni evening.
Carmen CPAM Kosmala was originally a trained and licensed Spanish architect, for whom law became her passion. She practiced law in Spain and became a foundation's Managing Director before moving to the USA in 2014. She is now finishing a Masters in Law (L.L.M.) at the University of Houston and will take the bar exam in July to practice in the USA. Growing up in an artist's family (her sister is a recognized artist in Spain and teaches Art at the University of Sevilla), Carmen found the urge to paint and draw when landing in Houston, Texas. On display at the City Hall are 18 of her paintings and drawings, made in the USA between 2013 and 2015. See the picture on this page and via: https://www.bunkerhilltx.gov/images/city-hall-art/Dec-2015/NewArtistKosmala.pdf.
The event is generously hosted and underwritten by the Kosmala family and the City of Bunker Hill's City Hall, and there is no cover charge. The event is open to all Illinois graduates and their guests. For questions or further information contact event host Alex Kosmala via email@example.com. To allow Alex some idea of the likely attendees please RSVP for this exciting free event either by e-mailing him or preferably by completing the RSVP form on this page.
